Our annual Missionary Support Offering (formerly called Faith Challenge offering) is the sole vehicle by which we support and partner with our missionaries serving overseas. This effort began at Mitchell Road Presbyterian in 2002 and continues as an opportunity for our congregation to exercise faith in the Lord for the support of world evangelism through missions. Each year at the time of our annual Missions Conference, we invite and challenge every member to make a pledge above and beyond their tithe for the next year.
The Missionary Support Offering is a commitment to the Lord in which we commit by faith to give an amount of money, as the Lord provides, over and above our regular tithes and giving, to the global missions ministry of our Church. Please understand that we desire individuals only participate after prayerful consideration and in accord with God's word:
"Each one must give as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:7).
