While YAM is comprised of singles in their 20's and 30's, we see ourselves as part of the larger Church body and not just the "singles ministry." We greatly value opportunities for fellowship, but YAM is more than just getting together and "hanging out."
MRPC YAM began in 2004 after several young singles felt the Lord leading us to focus more on how we can better serve the Risen Christ, His people, and His Kingdom.
YAM is fully committed to the Four Cornerstones at MRPC.
Lordship
The members of YAM seek to bring all of life under the Lordship of Christ.
Discipleship
Through weekly Bible studies and other occasional events, YAM members are nurtured to further grow in their individual walk with the Lord Jesus.
Congregational Life
Members of YAM are involved in various aspects of MRPC congregational life such as WIC, the Diaconate, the Sanctuary Choir, the ESL program, and VBS. We also enjoy service opportunities with widows, single moms, and the annual Madrigal Feaste. We seek to use our gifts to glorify our Lord and contribute to the spiritual growth of our larger Church family.
Missions
YAM members contribute to MRPC's ESL program that meets every Wednesday Night. We are also involved in Center Court community outreach, various short-term missions opportunities and vocational and financial involvement with Campus Outreach.
