Co-Laborers With Parents
While God gave parents the primary responsibility to train their children in the ways of His covenant (Deut. 4:9-10; 6:7; 11:19; 32:46; Ps. 78:1-7; Eph. 4:4), the Church is committed to partnering with parents to reinforce this ministry (Deut. 31:12-13; Josh. 8:30-35; Neh. 12:40-43; Deut. 7:9; Acts 16:31; cf. BCO 56-5).

Biblically Responsible
Teachers understand their goal is not merely to deliver content, but to help children to learn and grow in faith and to see Jesus in their love. All curriculum is biblically based and theologically sound. We believe it is essential for learners to see all of life from the perspective of our relationship to God through Christ which will lead us to live according to the rules of our relationship with Christ.

Screened Personnel
We believe in the shepherding care of our covenant children, and thus it is important that our teachers aid in leading them into a healthy relationship with Jesus Christ. We screen all personnel who work with children to ensure safety and spiritual maturity (Matt. 18:1-6). Every person who has contact with children is required to agree with the child protection policy and complete the screening form. Personnel are to model the love of Christ in their interaction with children and other adults.

Team Model
We believe strongly in team ministry (1 Cor. 3:5-9; 12:4-27). Our teachers truly are contributing partners in our ministry (1 Pet. 4:10-11). Our teachers see every learner as "God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them" (Eph. 2:10).

Biblical Worldview
We believe it is essential for learners to see all of life from a Biblical worldview, specifically in light of our relationship to God through Christ. Through God's grace and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, teaching from this framework enables us to live according to God's commands. MRPC Kids uses only biblically based, theologically sound curriculum.

Creativity
Children enjoy learning in a creative environment. We support our teachers in their uniquely gifted way of communicating the glorious riches they have in Christ Jesus. As teachers demonstrate passion in teaching God's truths, children are encouraged to live for Christ, and to participate in worship, missions and service.

Evangelism
Children need opportunities to invite friends to Church and be exposed to evangelism at an early age. We provide such opportunities through Sunday School, VBS, Center Court, and Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). Our hope is for the Church and family to work together in living out our Lord Jesus Christ's command to "make disciples" (Matt. 28:19).

Scope and Sequence Teaching
We teach more than information. We believe that learning is a divinely ordained process. We believe that learners come to understand and commit themselves to the truth. We encourage children to apply the lessons to life as they grow as believers. Children will begin to see the unfolding of God's historically redemptive work as the grow from 2 years old until they reach the end of the 5th grade.

Engaging
Children should be participants in worship, missions, and service, along with the adults of a vital faith community, to affirm their relationship with God.
