The Session has approved the concept of Community Groups for the body of MRPC, started the fall of 2009.
Community Groups will:
Build up the Body of Christ as we come together in smaller communities
Meet on Sundays from
in homes, except for the first Sunday of each month, when we will all come together corporately at church
Be geographically-based and intergenerational, with men, women, youth, and children who live close to one another, all coming together as a group (typically 10-20 people)
Provide opportunities for elders to shepherd those who attend
Include sermon discussion, guided by a facilitator, in which all may participate
Offer refreshments or a meal and on-site childcare, according to each group’s decisions
